FOUNDATION WORKSHOP · ART OF YOGA
Would you like more freedom in your body?
Stiffness. Tension. Less mobility than before.
No previous yoga experience is necessary.
In this 90-minute workshop, we introduce a simple approach to movement, breathing and attention — slowly, clearly and with personal guidance.
We explore how the body moves, how the breath supports movement, and how greater attention can help you sense more clearly what your body needs.
This is not a competition in flexibility, and you do not need to know anything beforehand.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
This could be for you if...
01 Your body feels stiffer than it used to.
02 You want to maintain mobility and a sense of freedom in your body.
03 You are tired of starting again and again without finding a steady rhythm.
04 The gym environment does not appeal to you.
05 You want to understand what you are doing — not simply follow instructions.
06 You want to find an approach that can genuinely become part of your life.
Then this could be a good place to begin.
MORE THAN MOVEMENT
Moving is not enough.
It also matters how you move.
Movement that is too fast, too intense or disconnected from the breath can easily become just another task the body has to get through.
We work more slowly. We take time to notice how the body responds and how the breath can support the movement.
The aim is not to do more. The aim is to work more intelligently with the body you have today.
90 MINUTES
What do we explore in the workshop?
We look at three elements that work together from the very beginning:
Movement. Breathing. Attention.01 The spine and movement +
We look at the spine as a central structure of the body and how the feet, pelvis and spine influence one another.
- the relationship between the feet, pelvis and spine
- how movement travels through the body
- how movement and breathing work together
02 Breathing +
The way we breathe affects the way we move, how we feel and how we use our energy.
- the relationship between breathing and movement
- the role of the diaphragm
- how breathing can become steadier and more efficient
03 Calm and attention +
We explore how movement and breathing can help us slow down and direct attention more clearly.
- a simple introduction to meditation
- how attention can be trained
- how to carry a calmer approach into the rest of your day
WHEN YOU GO HOME
You leave with a clear starting point.
Not a complicated exercise system. Not a list of everything you need to fix.
01 A better sense of how your body moves.
02 Simple movements you can repeat at home.
03 A clearer connection between movement and breathing.
04 A way to slow down and listen more closely to your body.
05 A sense of whether this approach is right for you.
You do not need to do a lot to begin. You need to begin in the right place.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE
The workshop stands on its own.
You come, experience the approach and see how it feels for you.
If you would like to continue, you can learn about the next step at Art of Yoga — for example, a Foundation Week or group classes.
If not, it simply ends after these 90 minutes.
No commitment. No payment link. Just a good place to begin.
